My Virtual Friend

My Virtual Friend is an idler/desktop pet game in which you're accompanied by a cute girl. She's interested in what you're doing and will try to cheer you up!

The project is still early in development, and I am actively working on improving it (with your feedback)

The game is also on Steam, and the Steam demo build will remain equal to the one on itch.io (so you don't have to manually download updates). 

You can wishlist the game if you want to be notified once the game hits its v1 release.

Features

The core idea for the game is already implemented, with some extras:

• Cute girl(s) doing cute things
• Interact and customize your character
• 8 different instrumental music playlists to help you focus 
• Media player integration (Spotify, more coming soon)
• Translated (EN, JP, CN, KR)

Roadmap

I'm hoping to make this game together with your feedback. The game will remain completely free until the v1 release (which would add multiple characters). After this, a free demo version will still remain available as well. 

This roadmap is what I've planned so far, but I would love to hear about the features you would like to have as well, leave them in the comments below!

As Soon As Possible

• Option to move icon from Taskbar to Tray
• More outfits
• More ways to interact with your character
• More dynamic linking between what your character does and what you're doing

v1 Release

• Multiple characters
• More everything (voice lines, outfits, states, backgrounds, interactions,...)
• Photo mode

Maybe?

• Mac Support
• Custom Cursors
• Play your own local music files
• Import your own character (very unlikely anytime soon)
